Adjectives

Hebrew adjectives come after the noun — and must agree in gender and definiteness.

Adjective After Noun

Adjectives follow the noun and match its gender. The noun stands first — dress it with the matching adjective.

כֶּלֶב···

a big dog (m)

חָתוּלָה···

a big cat (f)

יֶלֶד···

a smart boy (m)

יַלְדָּה···

a smart girl (f)

Definite Adjectives

When the noun has הַ, the adjective also gets הַ. Tap to put הַ on both.
