Binyanim Overview
Hebrew pours each root into one of seven verb patterns called בִּנְייָנִים (binyanim, 'buildings'). The pattern changes the flavor: simple, intensive, causative, passive, or reflexive.
One Root, Three Flavors
Watch the root ל־ב־שׁ (wearing) change meaning across binyanim.
Active vs Passive
Most active binyanim have a passive partner.
Quick check
מִתְלַבֵּשׁ (gets dressed) belongs to which binyan?
