שורשים — Find the Root

Every Hebrew verb hides a three-letter root inside it. Peel away the extra letters the binyan added — drag them down to the peel pile — until only the shoresh is left standing.

What each binyan adds to the root

פעל Pa'alל + ו

פיעל Pi'elל

הפעיל Hif'ilל + ה + י

התפעל Hitpa'elל + ה + ת

נפעל Nif'alל + ה + י
